As we settle into June, our hearts are full of joy and solidarity as we celebrate LGBTQIA+ Pride Month. This special time honors the vibrant diversity and resilient spirit of the LGBTQIA+ community, reminding us of the importance of love, acceptance, and equality. At The Table and First Presbyterian, we are committed to fostering an inclusive environment where everyone is welcomed and celebrated for who they are - beloved children of God, fearfully and wonderfully made in the image of God. Knowing that God has called me to not just one but two churches who share in this belief and commitment fills me with joy.
However, Pride Month is not only a time to rejoice but also to reflect on the ongoing journey towards justice and acceptance. We recognize the struggles and triumphs of our LGBTQIA+ siblings and pledge our support in advocating for the rights and dignity of all LGBTQIA+ people. Let us come together in unity, embracing our differences and strengthening our community through love and understanding.
