Erin Hayes shared this reflection about our day of service:
On Saturday, May 1, The Table went to Camp Mount Luther for a day of service and fellowship.  Located outside of Mifflinburg, Camp Luther is an ELCA's camp which is part of the Upper Susquehanna Synod.
Twenty-six members of The Table worked to clean our adopted cabin, clear debris from the campground, and spread gravel in Maple Village to prepare the camp for summer activities.  Our younger participants especially enjoyed pushing the wheelbarrows!
After our volunteer work was completed, some of us headed to the camp's pond to try fishing.  Although the fish weren't biting much that day, we enjoyed catching Red-Spotted (Eastern) Newts. We even had a bit of lacrosse practice.  We ended the day by sharing dinner in the pavilion before returning home, exhausted, but happy. Several of the youth in attendance are planning to return to the camp for a week or more this summer!
Mt. Luther's Director expressed gratitude for the work that was done, but I think that participants may have benefitted the most from our time of fellowship in God's beautiful creation.
