All are welcome to pull up a seat at The Table.
As we learn and grow together, it is our hope to live like Jesus, to love like Jesus, and to humbly seek grace when we fall short of that responsibility. We recognize and celebrate that each person is fearfully and wonderfully made in the image of God, and we give thanks for the many and diverse gifts that God has given us. We joyfully extend God’s love and welcome to all people, no matter your sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, race, country of origin, immigration status, age, family status, physical and mental abilities, socioeconomic position, religious background, or any other human condition. We strive to promote racial equity, socioeconomic justice, and the affirmation of all LGBTQIA+ people in our community through our worship, mission, and outreach efforts.
You are welcome. You are loved. Pull up a seat at The Table.
In May of 2019, not long after The Table was formed, several members of the Table participated in the Building Inclusive Churches training offered by Reconciling Works. During this two-day workshop, we learned about grace-filled engagement and the steps that we need to take to become a Reconciling In Christ (RIC) congregation. As we participated in this training, Aubrey Thonvold, the Executive Director of Reconciling Works, assured us that the Holy Spirit would guide the process of our RIC journey.
Though COVID-19 saw many orginzations shifting their focus, including here at The Table, we remained committed to continuing on the RIC journey. We planned educational opportunities and discussion forums for the community at The Table. Throughout this process, shared our thoughts and our stories related to the core values this journey. COVID-19 may have slowed us down but it couldn't stop us.
In 2024, we called a new pastor. Pastor Pam joined us at The Table that January and helped to refocus the RIC team. In January of 2025, we adopted our frame: Do Everything in Love, or DEI<3 as we like to call it. This verse, from 1 Corinthians 16, served and continues to serve as a constant reminder that God calls us to love and all that we do and say should be rooted in our love of God and love for our neighbors.
Later that same year the RIC team drafted and edited our welcome statement. Our church leadership voted to recieve the welcome statement in September 2025, and the congregation ratified it on October 12, 2025. We were officially welcomed into the RIC community later that week. We at The Table are proud to have our RIC certificate and our welcome statement hanging in the entryway to our worship space and honored to live into the welcome that God has for everyone.
